It's built for platforms like H & K rifles, FN SCARs, and SIG rifles, where the factory sling loop is too small or oddly shaped for standard push-button swivels. The 1" slot fits any padded or unpadded Vickers Combat Applications Sling, letting the hook double as a low-cost, no-frills attachment point. It's not intended for elongated AK-style eyelets, since the angle of those loops can allow the hook to disengage unintentionally — Blue Force Gear recommends its Universal Wire Loop or MASH Hook for that application instead. Like the rest of the Vickers hardware line, it's made in the USA and backed by a limited lifetime warranty.
